I just finished restoring the tachometer and speedometer assemblies for your car, Bill. Both units were partially contaminated with body shop dust, but also the lubricant was over 40 years old, dried up and very sticky. I cleaned the units, bead blasted the bezels which were corroded, and re-lubricated with a modern synthetic. They are both clean and fully functional.
